The PEP Advisory Board wants the training center to teach sustainability as well as  traditional hospitality subjects. Sustainable tourism must avoid using land farmland, it should not add to the problem of climate change and should make life better for the students of SMK and the community of Payangan.

Lyn finished by reiterating that all board members are unpaid volunteers, in line with Indonesian NPO regulations and specifically thanked Niko for his efforts.

Alit – expressed discontent that the PEP board did not get approval from the Head of SMK PGRI Payangan High School (Wayan Renes) before registering the foundation and that the board members were not chosen by the Head of SMK PGRI Payagan.

Nikolaus Suyasa confirmed that while the PEP Foundation is registered separately from the school foundation, its purpose is to improve opportunities for students in the Payangan community.

Mr Renes expressed frustration in communication difficulties as he does not speak English.  He thanked the Melville-Rea's for their efforts and apologized for those teachers not present.
