ECO-HOTEL TRAINING CENTER MISSION ECO-POLICY FACILITIES ACTIVITIES FINANCE MARKETING ORGANIZATION

MISSION:  Sustainable Tourism and Education to Eliminate Poverty Project 1 - Payangan Education Project i. To build an eco-hotel and training center, on land adjoining SMK PGRI Payangan Vocational High School of Tourism, which: a) allows students authentic training in hospitality, b) generates income for the school community (in an economically-viable way) and that promotes local entrepreneurship, c) respects and contributes to intercultural understanding and tolerance, d) exemplifies eco-friendly and sustainable practices, e) follows WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) principles. ii. To assess and offer sponsorship and/or scholarships to students living in the Payangan area of Bali, who: a) cannot afford to go to a public or foundation high school, b) are motivated and show potential to do well in their studies at SMK PGRI Payangan. iii. To improve the general facilities and education offered at SMK PGRI Payangan Vocational High School of Tourism by providing: a) computers and internet, b) teacher training, c) classroom supplies, d) eco-friendly practices, technologies and training, e) facilities such as better toilets, waste water management and a sufficient power supply using hydro, solar or other renewable energy source.
