The SMK PAYANGAN ECO-HOTEL TRAINING CENTER
is adopting responsibletravel.com core values of responsible tourism.
1. Eco-Design
All buildings and landscapes will integrate themselves into the natural environment and will be built using energy-efficient, locally-produced building materials.
2. Energy
The Eco-Hotel Training Center will use clean, sustainable energy, including hydro electricity, solar power and solar hot water.
3. Conservation
The Eco-Hotel Training Center will remain small so as to conserve the natural surroundings. It will provide both the local community and visitors with environmental education opportunities.
4. Ecological sustainability
The Eco-Hotel Training Center will feature meals made from locally-grown, organic food. Waste will be recycled, including grey water.
5. Community
The Eco-Hotel Training Center will empower the local community by generating income which is directly used to give children access to education. It will also provide many opportunities for local people to share their culture and customs.
